Our Story
Our mission is to build innovative services and spaces for older adults that enable all generations to live and thrive in a vibrant community.
Why We Started
Answering a need
It all started as a grassroots effort to address community concerns after the sudden closure of the Slayton Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Slayton, Minnesota in May 2019.
What We're Doing
Current efforts
We're currently working on strategic planning and design planning for the development of a model intergenerational neighborhood.
Where We're Going
Our vision
We intend to create an intergenerational residential setting for housing older adults, caring for young children, and enriching the community. At this time, we are working on multiple fronts to accomplish our vision to be a national model for intergenerational elder care.
Strategic Plan
After months of work in partnership with the Southwest Regional Development Commission, we are excited to announce that our strategic plan is live! The document addresses housing and services needed in the Slayton community. This project was championed and funded by the City of Slayton.
